Okay - CNN, Freepers, and DUers - what the hell is up with this?

CNN - we all hate it here because it's conservative propaganda. Not as bad as Faux, but we think it's part of the rightwing fourth branch of this new government. We say it's a place that freeps get their news (though we attribute that far more strongly to Faux than CNN).

CNN - the Freepers all hate it because it's too liberal, it's the Clinton News Network, it's part of the Hollywood liberal elite. Freeps say that liberals like us are big-time CNN watchers and supporters and that we can't say anything unless we've received our sounbite pre-censored from CNN.


What the hell is up with this? It's obvious we both hate it. Why do we say the other ones love it? I think the DUers are correct that it's a rightwing propaganda machine.

Perhaps for the freeps, even though CNN is rightwing, compared to the Faux news they so love, CNN must seem awfully liberal and to the left.

I find it interesting that this one issue on which freeps and DUers agree - CNN can't be trusted. Why don't we work together on that issue?

Those rare times when Faux gets compelled to cover a story not complimentary to Bush but too big to ignore, such as the Wilson/Plame/CIA Outing affair, FR gets full of messages that 'Fox has gone liberal', etc...

9. Yes, "conservative" needs to be dropped and only used for the real ones

and for the current rightwinger regime, I think fascist is definitely a better term, though it still doesn't include their whole world view. But it's likely the closest word - they really are about rule by corporations.

I also find it funny when the freeps call US "fascists". I bet if you took a poll, you'd get maybe 4% of the freeps who actually know what the word means.

They are very upset about "their" station, Faux. Why? Because they are saying that recently Faux news is swinging to the left. They are very upset about this.

As an aside, it has been noted that the REAL reason the media is now turning on * is because they are totally corporate and guess what? They aren't getting the $. They are pissed and now turning on *.

Avid Fox viewers wouldn't know an independent thought if it came up and kicked them in the nads, they are spoon fed their talking points
like everything else. They are weak-minded people & cowards at heart.
That's why they love phrases they can hide behind like support the troops but when the idiot son cuts funding to the troops they still support him because like all people bereft of independent thinking they do what they are told and this is why I see them as such failures as people because they do what their told without thinking.

So for any freeps reading this I know it ain't easy but think for yourself, I know it takes effort you have to analyze the issues and actually research to get beyond the bullshit but nothing and I mean nothing can replace common sense and independent thought unless you're a Fox viewer.
