1. NO! I'm a candy ass!
I can't think of anything fun or exciting about getting jerked and flown around at a high altitude and frightened half to death until I puke. Just not my idea of a good time!

2. I'll bet you'd like sky diving too then
I've never understood why anyone would want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.

28. I love coasters
but I'm not too keen on skydiving. Something about packing parachutes by hand and chutes not opening which freaks me out.

4. Yes. But...
I went on the Kracken at Seaworld in Florida a few years ago and I almost passed out! Kind of freaked me out. Other than that, they're good scary fun.

6. I have got to go to a theme park
I haven't been in a little over a year, and that was just taking some kids to Six Flags for a field trip. I love the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk--rode the Giant Dipper 5 times one day!

8. The Giant Dipper is the finest
roller coaster I have ever had the privilege of riding. Fun, yet still easy enough for grandma (if her adhesive is working)

20. The Hurricane's not nearly as good
It's also at the Boardwalk, but it just goes around and around in a circle, with you in a not-so-comfortable slanted position.

24. heheh....
i live within "screaming" distance of the giant Dipper. I can hear the screams when it's running. I love that ride. Go on it all the time. when I'm feeling bored, just walk over to the Boardwalk and take a spin.

I love santa cruz :)

26. I love hearing the screams
and feeling the rumbling under your feet as you approach the entrance to the Boardwalk (or any park for that matter). You get that cool combination of euphoria/racing heart/stomach butterflies.

Though I didn't enjoy them quite as much before I learned to relax and LET GO!

Airtime is awesome! :bounce: I love the ones that turn upside down!

Favorites:

Raptor & Millennium Force - Cedar Point
Raging Bull & Batman The Ride - Six Flags, Chicago
Batman Night Flight & X-Flight - Six Flags, Cleveland
The Beast, Face/Off & Flight of Fear - Kings Island
Shivering Timbers - Michigan's Adventure
Montezooma's Revenge - Knott's Berry Farm

Gosh, I could go on & on! I like most every one I've tried. I'll try almost anything once!

10. Oh, yeah -- Cedar Point is the best!!
Magnum, Millennium Force, Raptor, Corkscrew, Mean Streak -- all of them!
John
But especially the MF (such appropriate initials): You drop from 305 feet to five feet at 80 degrees off the first hill in four seconds. It's like falling out of a thirty-story skyscraper and having Superman catch you at the last second. Highly recommended unless, of course, yer too skeered.

16. The Mean Streak's my favorite
Millenium Force rocks the house, of course, but I dearly love the Mean Streak. Cedar Point is one of my favorite places in the world.

29. I'm planning a trip to CP.
Specifically to ride Top Thrill Dragster and MF.

400 feet/120 MPH on the TTD. Hopefully it won't be broken down when I get there!!

14. Love them too
Although it is not even closest to the highest or fastest anywhere, Rolling Thunder at Great Adventure will ALWAYS be my favorite. It was made out of old wood and sounded all rickety and felt like it was going to fall apart on you any second.

Not to mention the little dips it had with a wood bar going across the dip. Until you hit the dip, you'd swear your face was going to smack right into the cross bar thing...now THAT was fun!!!

15. I am a hardcore coaster junkie
I will take vacations specifically to go to places like Cedar Point (coaster heaven). I've been known to get off a coaster and run right round to get back in the two-hour line so I can ride it again. The biggest legal rush you can have with all your clothes on!

17. No freakin way...
... would I go on a huge rollercoaster. Not a thrillseeker by nature. If forced to go on one, it would require years of therapy, and many electroshock treatments to superglue the shattered mind that would result.

Did I mention that I am a candy-ass chicken when it comes to rollercoasters?

:scared:

23. It sucks if you're 6'3"
as your knees will be around your ears.

Alpengeist is the best. Apollo's Chariot is good, but too short. Loch Ness is pretty good. Big Bad Wolf is interesting, if you're short.

Wife and I go there about 2 times a year, as we only live 45 minutes away.

25. Knees around your ears?
How does that work? Anyway, I'm about 5'7" so I probably shouldn't have that experience. I saw the park on a documentary and thought the scenery was just so lovely.

27. Go in the "off" season
to avoid the long, long lines. We just went 3 weeks ago when the crowds were still cleaning up after Isabel. The longest we waited in line was about 5 minutes for any roller coaster. Needless to say, we got our money's worth (incidentally, we had free tickets).

Haven't been to Busch Gardens yet; but it's on my list of things to do when I have money again.

My favorite is the Volcano at Kings Dominion. Fast and smoooooooooooooooooth!

30. I love them..
and there are a few here around Orlando.

If you like them, I recommend reading rec.roller-coaster for more information on them and to read other peoples trip-reports.
