2. A very rational move.
Reach the playoffs for the first time in years and fire the manager.

4. I have to agree with you
I have mixed feelings about this. His team loved him and he was a unifying force in the clubhouse. On the other hand, he made more than one bad decision while with the Sox. I kind of feel bad for the guy...

5. This just breaks my heart.
I know the reasons why but I really am a bleeding heart in all aspects of life:-(

The thing about Grady Little taking all the heat is that he said he would rather it had been him than the players. But it was not just Grady, in fact, Grady's decision counted less than the playing ability of the team, why did it even come to a Game 7? There were a number of players that did not perform to their potential. 20-20 hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I have moved past anger, past mourning and now I'm at the acceptance phase. I am sorry Grady had to take the fall for this.

7. I don't think this was a great move
but what would it have been like for Grady to coach in Boston again? He is given all of the blame for the loss to the Yankees, but doesn't deserve it all.

He decided to stick with his HOF pitcher in the toughest spot and it turned out badly.

What no one wants to talk about is how Derek Lowe didn't win either of his Starts. Pedro was innefective in game three, and probably cost the Sox the game with the Garcia HBP.

Or we could be talking about how the most prolific slugging offense in the history of the game was a no show in Games three and five.

How his plan to pitch Burkett in the toughest of spots worked. Saving Pedro for game 7. Lucchino et al caved to public pressure on this. They could have spoken to grady like men, but they played it out in the papers. Not impressed. That said this team will rebound without Little at the helm. And he deserves ample criticism for game 7 but not his job.

8. This is a big mistake
Martinez told Little that he was okay, and Little decided to trust his star pitcher. Hindsight being 20/20, we are all geniuses today.

The game of musical chairs goes on.

I am waiting for the Yankees's front office to do a housecleaning.
