Poll question: So Who's Gonna Win The NBA Championship This Year?
There are 10 spaces on this poll feature. Unfortunately, I don't think there are going to be 10 potential championship contenders in the NBA this season.

But here's the top contenders anyway. Pick your horse.

1. Where are

The Sixers?

They must be worth more than a mention in "Other".

7. uh...why?
Is Glen Robinson suddenly going to learn how to pass or rebound?

Is Alan Iverson suddenly going to take his game to another level?

No.

The sixers are a middle-of-the-pack team. They'll finish around .500 - as usual.

3. As a Celtics fan I will tell you that this is
absolutely not the year. However, I hope we just make the playoffs because playoff games at the FleetCenter are an event not to be missed. WHere else can you join in a serenade with 18,000 other people calling Jason Kidd a "WIIIIIIIFE-BEATER".

This is the year! I can feel it! Big offseason moves with Spree, Sam and Michael O. Finally, they have a chance to get beyond round 1.

Lakers will implode.

(I hope)

5. Shaq, Glove, and Mailman
pplus Byron Russell, a healthy Rick Fox, and some good young guys who want to play. PLUS a healthy, in shae Shaq. ..

Kobe? I think he's too out of shape to help out at the moment, and his mind is way, way out to focus on playing now. His public bitching ins't helping him either (anyone else sensing a trde f him to Oralndo for Mcgrary?)

6. Spurs Again
Watch for the emergence of a new star named Ginobelli.

Spurs are better without the admiral.

8. Spurs over Pistons!
Be not ye distracted by what I think will be a slow start for the Silver and Black. All those new players will take some time to gel. They'll be fine, and will win their division (Houston will be in 2nd).

Mavs are okay too.

12. Mavs - and look for 150 point games
It will be exciting, of course. But you know, the Mavs represent everything that is wrong with Texas. Oh, and Cuban killed Kennedy, too.
