This has been something I've been thinking about
Edited on Tue Oct-28-03 09:29 AM by La_Serpiente
I have no clue as to why CNN and MSNBC hasn't hired Bill Moyers or David Corn to host their own show. Olberman has his top ten thing, but that is just lame really. I want to know about REAL news, things that aren't covered by the media.

There is a huge market out there for people like them: people who can actually make an argument and back their statement up with substance. There are many people on the internet willing to watch them every day. I mean, just look at the web-blogs and draft presidential candidate movement for Clark -- a general who opposed the war. People are craving left-of center candidates.

Scarborough has his very own show JUST for conservatives. Why can't liberals have their own?

I know Donahue was supposed to be the liberal, but he was a talk show host and is not a person who "savee" on the issues. I saw his show one time and he could barely defend himself against this "White Seperatist" who graduated from Yale. Talk-Show hosts talk about the kind of stuff one sees on Montel or Maury nowadays. "Who's the father?" or "I'm Sgt. BlahBlah, and I am going to whip you into shape!!"

Maybe someone could start a draft Corn or Moyer movement.

However, I also don't trust the corporate media at all. I might have reservations that the integrity of their shows could be at stake or that their shows would be manipulated.

This is a lucrative business deal for them and will finally bring them out of the recesses of deficit.

Would you feel uncomfortable with Bill Moyers or David Corn having their own show on MSNBC or CNN?

1. I'd love to see Bill Moyers on CNN
Just get rid of that insufferably smug Anderson Cooper. God, what a waste of airtime Cooper's show is. And put Moyers on in his place.

I'd love to see Moyers on CNN.
