He's been back with Yes for a year or two now, and I believe they're going to be doing an album together. He's still putting about 20 zillion albums a year, all kinds of styles. He's also been doing a lot of TV hosting in England, and is actually considered one of the top comedians in a lot of polls. This particular tour is a solo tour where he plays a bunch of stuff from all aspects of his career, and shares amusing stories.

I have the XM Radio broadcast he did in March, as well as the show in Maryland he did around the same time. Nobody tells a story like this man. Impeccable timing.

He often tells a story about a group of old people who had come to see his show, and said to him afterwards something along the lines of "I didn't know you played the piano as well!" A lot of people in England only know him as a TV personality/comedian.

Saw him earlier this year (on the "Out There" album tour in England)
and he was on good form then. Had Tony Fernandez (drums) and Ashley
Holt (vocals) at that time.

I gather that he's doing the one-man-show in the US at the moment.
That format is good fun as well - not just playing but with some of
his stories ...

I was trying to remember that old LP I have by him. Although I haven't listened to it in probably 25 years I seem to remember his rendition of Grieg's "Hall of the Mountain King." Wow! Talk about a blast from the past! B-)

11. Oh man!

I met the band during the Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman and Howe tour back in 89-90. I walked into the Radisson in Memphis to retrieve our reservation, turned around and this HUGE guy with long blonde hair walked behind me. After he walked by it hit me who he was. Wakeman is effing huge....lol. After the show I got on the elevator and Wakeman and Bill Bruford was on it....I about crapped. Neither was very talkative, and Bruford unfortunately looked a little sick, which dissapointed me because I am a big big fan of his.

Went to the lobby and Jon Anderson was there. My wife was pregnant at the time and he stood there rubbing her belly and talking to her stomach forever. He started telling us about all of his kids and how wonderful they was. The Kharma that guy spreads is unbelieveble. He is so genuine and gentle. I got to drink a beer and talk with Steve Howe which was incredible because I am a long time guitar player and have been an avid follower of his, and the entire band since Fragile. He got down on his knees, pulled up my wifes shirt and kissed her stomach. The guys were so genuine and talked to us like we had been friends for years. You could tell that they were enlightened beyond anything that most people can even imagine.
