I might be leaving the USA next year (Need Opinions)

I talked to my Chefs and I have to bring my grades back up this semester and I will be able to transfer to the branch of my College in London or Australia.

I want to go back to London and I am thinking about leaving. With all that has happened in my life since my Mom died I think that it would be the best thing for me.

It would be a new start in life and I will have a place to stay at the College in London and I might be able to have a social life again.

I need opinions. Should I stay or should I go?

Le Cordon Bleu offers transfers to their other branches and I think that I should go.

Anyone leaving the USA if Bush steals the Whitehouse again?

2. I really don't have any reason to stay in the States

My Dad is senile and he wouldn't know If I left of If I stayed here and most of my relatives are either physically dead or mentally dead.

11. I left Chicago at 22 in 1976.

Got in my car and drove to LA by myself, all the time thinking what the hell, if I don't like it I can always go back to Chicago. Well, I've been back to Chicago a few times but never to live. The way I look at it, if I can work and pay rent in Chicago I can do it anywhere. And here on my hillside in San Francisco, yes, sure we get the occasional earthquake. But it's spring here all the time.

Well, I think it is so great that you found yourself in a program that allows you to start over someplace else yet keep your original goals. That's pretty fortuitous planning!

5. I have 25 credits to go and I can leave

Our College in Chicago is a 2 year program but the ones in London & Australia are 4 year programs.

I was going to stay in Chicago and go to Kendall College for the other two years but I think I need a change.

It sounds like a total green light. I caught your post about problems with loans and grades and stuff. You are not thriving here. If you can - block out the entire world...including politics, and just focus, focus, focus and get your grades up to create a new canvass from which to build your life.

So, maybe the bad news with the schooling is really a good thing - like a wakeup call that you need to get some fire under your feet and recreate your new life.

9. I am going to be a Teachers Aid again this Semester

I do have choices of continuing my education in Florida but I am not sure if I want to deal with Jeb Bush and I don't have anything keeping me here.

I came to that conclusion after having a cocktail last night and I really don't drink.

10. My GF found that moving to Ireland for a year,

after her mother's passing, helped her grow, personaly, in ways that she did not imagine at first. Her time away was a well spent.

If you haven't spent time away from the U.S. you may find it exciting and quite a learning experience.

She (GF) has pushed me, gently, to apply for Irish citizenship so maybe we'll see you over there in the UK if you decide to move.

We can't promise you film-star politicians and our head of state (I mean the real one, not the incredibly rich one we have on the money and stamps) is only half bonkers as opposed to completely off the rails, but if you could live with that we'd be happy to welcome you.

And London is wonderful, really.

the possibility of moving to Van Couver. I went there this past summer and loved it. If * continues to be in power, I don't think I can take it here.
