"Playmakers" is on ESPN right now
It's the one about the player coming out of the closet. I think all liberals should see this.

1. I think the drama in football is on the field
anytime non-football people try to dramatize football they get it completely wrong. I haven't seen the show, but the ads make it sound pretty stupid, although I admit the topic is a pretty good one.

2. this show sucks
It is so melodramatic!! The pilot was good, and the premise was good, but they have really made the show a joke. Its every sports cliche and sterotype you can imagine.

4. It's too dramatic but overtime this is what you will come across as.....
a player. Although I never came across a player that was gay in High School football but I bet I'll find out in a few years that one of my former teammates was. I'd be shocked but not surprised if this did happen. I don't have anything against gay people and wouldn't have any problems playing with a gay player. What would shock when looking back at it is because them and even I would call someone a "faggot" because it was demeaning to them. Everyone would say stuff like this(even coaches) because it was one of the biggest unsults you could give to another man. Looking back on it I wonder how they could take it and not do anything:shrug:

3. I like the show. I don't care what anyone else thinks.

It's not "overacting". It's acting with a lot of emotion. Sure, it overly dramatizes football in a lot of ways, but it's a good way to bring different issues out in the open in the format of the story of a fictional pro team that in real life would not have even 10 percent of these problems.

8. After doing observation of his character, I can tell.
His best friend is black, his father was a real asshole who killed his brother, he's sensitive to his teammate being gay, etc. The clues fit in.
