I am figuring that since the cub is graduating this year (?) everything is insane with him studying for finals, preparing for graduation and hopefully preparing for senior week. So I am alm but still wondering exactly why we haven't heard from him.

ever since they started assembling their US cars in mexico there has been a big increase in electrical problems...power windows, AC, air conditioning, etc...you are lucky to have a newer model that hasn't had any electrical problems

your best bet might just be to take it to a car stereo shop (or your mechanic) and have them check out the wiring...it really shouldn't be expensive, so if someone gives you what seems like a steep estimate, find someone else...
