My aunt was a nun, amongst a long list of stunning and contradictory achievements.

It was a sincere contemplation. I never was an altar boy, though, and that now appears to have been a good thing.

But I've had very enjoyable times with both priests and nuns.

Between my aunt, and a cousin who was a priest, I just thought it looked fun. Plus, I've always been the scholastic type, so when I was a believer, I memorized the Bible and got into theology heavily, even at a young age.

I later became protestant, then atheist--neither of those are conducive to the priesthood. Even in grad school, though, I studied medieval history with a strong emphasis on theology.
