Art World In Chaos As Swamp Rat Forgeries Flood The Art Market!!!

New York City - Fake Swamp Rat images have been discovered in the Louvre, The British Museum and among the collections of some of the nation's wealthiest art collectors.

Art dealers, critics and galleries were shocked to find Swamp Rat forgeries flooding the market. "I guess people just like the work THAT MUCH!", said Phinneas J. Peacock Owner of a prestigious West side New York gallery. "The green skin just gets under YOUR skin.", he added.

Investigators note that The forgeries were nearly perfect. Many sat undiscovered among prestigious collections for months before being identified Wednesday.

Sources familiar with the case suggest that perhaps the producer of the forgeries would have gotten away with it if only he had that really sweet "squiggly" font that the famous artist is known for. Instead the perpetrator settled for a font that reminds most of the investigators of the opening credits to "The Munsters".

In addition, Swamp Rat is known for making the "whites" of his subject's eye red with a green pupil instead of the yellow/red combination chosen by the forger.

"Maybe it was an homage. Maybe it was just a con artist trying to make a quick buck. We may never know.", said lead investigator Sgt. Mike Scammer.
