Time for the obnoxious confluence of events thread.
This thread is in honor of my most messed up morning. Last night I decided to spend the night at my mothers place, about 25 minutes from school.
I wake up to go to school this morning and realize that one of my wonderful little brothers had decided to take my coat to school. Well my car keys happened to be in my coat. Lucky for me I had just made a spare the other day and it was right there, locked in my car. I called my roadside service and was surprised when they showed up in 15 minutes, quickly enough for me to still get to my first class.
So I’m on the highway going to class and all of a sudden my windshield wipers stopped working. Let me tell you the highway is pretty damn scary when you can’t see a thing. After a few pretty terrifying minutes I managed to get off the highway and after trying to figure out how to fix them I decide to just drive back to my mom’s place slowly on back roads.
The best part of my morning was of course was saved for last. Since I was taking back roads, there was only one curb between the highway and my mothers place. Just one, and while I have enough visibility to see other cars, people, and trees, I did not see that high, sharp curb. After I hit the curb I held my breath, and when there was no pop I thought I had gotten away with it. Unfortunately I was wrong and as I turned onto my street I realized that the tire was in fact flat (don’t feel bad I was going to put on my winter tires this weekend anyway.)
I understand now why people believed in gremlins. Ok share your stories.

2. I'm staying home from work today...
because my daughter hurt her arm skateboarding yesterday and we have to go get it x-rayed in a couple hours since she has limited movement and much pain still. I'm glad you were able to get home safely. Wow, what a morning for you!

4. I hope your daughter is alright.
I'm not sure if I am going to stay at home yet, I am waiting for one of my buddies to wake up and call me back right now, hopefully he will give me a ride. I have two tests on Friday so I wanted to show up to my afternoon classes.
