2. Not too Bad, but an Acquired Taste
kind of like miso. I had marmite on my list for years before being offered some this summer at a beach house by a Brit.

15. No
No no no... no comparison! Marmite is the real thing. Goes well with everything from cheese to peanut butter.

5. It's one of those things ...
... that (if you've tried it) you either love or hate - very little
middle ground in the experience!

I'll admit that I've been hooked on the stuff from an early age so
I'm biased but if you like savoury spreads, give it a go. If you
only like sweet things, don't even bother.

Yum!

7. God, I love it so
On toast, in a sandwich... just make sure you use plenty of butter or margerine with it. Is there anything better than hot toast, butter melting into it, liberally smeared with Marmite?

Of course I fully understand that it makes some people want to vomit.

9. love it
It's a salty yeast extract; a by-product of beer and supposedly terribly healthy.

However I prefer the equivalent Vitam-R.

11. This stuff came from...
the other end of the island that gave us haggis. That says something.

You will note the madness of the Marmite lovers:

"maRMITE IS GREEAT WITH PICKLES"

far more sensible:

I like the story about how they had to pull the ad with Jerri Hall saying: "You don't eat it, you spread it."
