Wyclef Jean?
I applaud Dean's attempt to reach out to young people and to rap fans, but a milquetoast rapper known for sub-par cover tunes and a Bob Marley fixation? If you want to go the rap route there are many better choices. Or if you want a carribean man of the people peace vibe then go with the original reggae dudes like Marley or Cliff or Tosh. But dropping Wyclef Jean's name at every chance you get to discuss music?

2. Exactly...counting off in songs.....
...and saying "refugee camp" every couple of lines in a song is neither good rap or even competent lyrical skills.

3. I only like his song "Diaollo" the rest of his solo music is corny........

he should try to get the Fugees back together....but I don't think Lauryn Hill will go for that........

4. I thought the fugees were just as bad....
Killing Me Softly....No Woman No Cry...most of their hits were other peoples tunes. Cornball.

5. if those are the only Fugees songs you know..........

you know very little......the group wrote the majority of their songs and the 2 songs you mention are not even close to being their best songs........you might want to try to listen to one of their CD'S from beginning to end, instead of using MTV for a review.....

their "hits". Those were clearly their two biggest songs.

I actually own a Fugees album that I have listened to several times over. Sorry but total snore city for me. Lauryn Hill is a very talented but very irritating person to me. And Wyclef's dime store Bob Marley impersonation is just as grating.

Sorry it's my opinion and I have heard enough of their work to know that it was in my estimation sub-par. In fact one of the reasons I DON'T like them is because to me it was MTV rap.
