Hey... did I like, fuck up?
In an earlier thread I posted about a long lost girl I had "dealings with." We have always kept in touch but never spoken of the sexual events that took place.
I got very sentimental due to that earlier post and sent her an email. In that email I made it clear I was not hitting on her or making some kinda strange pitch for a relationship (She lives 3,000 miles away). And I meant it, I truly am just being sentimental.
Anyway, I just mention how the last night we spent together is a great memory for me yadayadayada.
I told her what I was up to, and that I hoped she was well.

As I said, I was not making some kinda of attempt at romance, perhaps just a partner in reminiscence.

Did I fuck up?

I really don't want her to think I'm being strange... we are friends and know each other well, so it shouldn't be that out of the blue for her.

1. From a lady's perspective
I hope what you said was brief and sincere. Any different would be suspect...

2. Fairly brief, 100 per cent sincere
I get all warm and fuzzy sometimes.

3. One bit of advice, don't give her a link to this thread...she might
not dig it; oh, and also, no pics!

She is probably mildly flattered by your reminessence. If it doesn't work out, that's OK. After all, she is 3000 miles away.

8. I would NEVER post to this site
I'm not looking for a rekindled romance... though. It's just one of those things when it seems to have been long enough ago that you can say, "hey rememeber that night?"

6. No, HEyHEY, you did not fuck up! IMHO, of course...
I would think, since you two are still in touch, that she would not find your email or your post, strange or inappropriate in any way. If I were her, I would be fine with it...I expect that she will be touched by your words of that long-ago memory...But she'll likely let you know...

11. No, I don't think she'll be offended....
Edited on Thu Jun-02-05 02:50 AM by Robeson
...but be careful with intoxicating posts/e-mails. Sometimes, we say at night, what we regret tomorrow.

On edit: I'm no one to preach on this, since I post intoxicated many times, however, not with ex-lovers....

15. Sometimes the gut is smarter, less brain cells to confuse you.
Edited on Thu Jun-02-05 03:25 AM by NuttyFluffers
and for most (healthy) dealings in love, even just happy memories, it's best to listen to the gut. it tends to cut through the bullshit and keeps things real -- and honesty is the foundation for trust, and trust the foundation for relationships, so...

16. Nah, no one "fucked up."
So to speak. I don't think you should freak unless she writes you back all, "okay, Creepy Stalker, that was SO. INAPPROPRIATE." But I wouldn't e-mail her again, either, if I were you.

As long as you left it at that, and it really wasn't a come-on. I've had a guy do a similar thing to me, and it was ok, once.

20. You might be surprised.
What if she has had feelings for you all along, and would very much like to rekindle something? You didn't shut the door on that possibility, did you? (hopeless romantic here)
