If someone is payed very poorly as in ...ooh say 3 cents a hour. Is that considered slave labor? This question came up while talking about wal-mart...

1. Do they get free whippings with those wages? |
|
Sounds like slave wages to me, although our slaves didn't get wages, per se.

2. Slavery is when you can't quit. |
|
Of course if you are legally unable to quit or are being threatened if you quite, it is obvious. If the situation is that you cannot quit because there is no place else to go to make a living, then it is a matter of how broadly you want to draw the definition of slavery.
