They said this is the 12th year ESPN has carried it live. Now,what kind of sport is a spelling bee?

I mean, swimming, wrestling, and water polo are sports, but ESPN doesn't carry them! But they do carry poker and a spelling bee!

Anyway, about the bee itself... they're beginnng the seventh round now. I wonder if Dan Kwayal would still be in it? Geiorge Dubya?

I think we should try to start looking at academic challenges as sports, just so they get some damned recognition and funding.
