2. That's the fanciest version I've seen so far!

It's called the "Nigerian Scam", although the nationality occasionally varies. It dates back to Elizabethan times, and was then known as "The Spanish Prisoner Swindle". In the past 2 years, I've received close to 250 of them.

A while back on DU, there was a hilarious thread about a couple of guys in England who succeeded in scamming one scammer. LOL LOL LOL

9. Every now and again...

I would reply to their message with some variation on, "How fucking stupid do you think I am?" I still got them, but it made me feel better. Of course, these days I don't even open the message for fear of launching a virus.

I don't know that I'd have the courage to send out an email like that.

People I resent, I just don't email.
