i was watching the local TV news one night (a rarity for me) and one of the reporters, WITH A STRAIGHT FACE, did a story about "possible vote fraud"...on american idol. what. the. fuck.

i find it ironic that people will try to justify its existence due to the actual singing talent of the performers. but really, is there any other show on television that is more controlled, more corporate, and farther from any possible reality than american idol?
