2. Maybe steam heat and pressure?

It may require more steam heat and pressure than you can get in the home environment. I think the gluing pages idea might work. Maybe a can or two of Elmers spray glue would make it easy.

4. I did it with laquer once,

it seeps in between the pages because of its low viscosity. When I tried glue, the book got much thicker than it had been (maybe I just used too much glue). But the laquer only solidified the outer edges of the paper. In the middle of the pages, they were still separate.

They were quite straight-faced about my inquiry. They must hear weirder.

6. There is a spell for doing that but you need the gall bladder of a penguin

to cast it, which is difficult to obtain fresh - and it must be fresh.
