Hubby bought flat screen t.v. today...advice please
He won't hook it up until tomorrow but before he starts, is there anything he should know?
I don't think I've ever seen one. Is the picture that much better? Hubby claims this is the main reason for getting one.
Any other tips, clues?
PS...The brand is Sharp, twenty inch.

2. Buy a bazooka and aim it at the telly.
If I ever get a husband, I'd ask the same of him.

Being Asperger's myself, that's not likely. So I need to have my TV. (not for porn, that's where my computer comes in... :wow: )

3. I'd be happy to give you some advice
but need to know a lot more about the TV. What's the model number? Is it a high definition tv?

7. Ah, I see

Edit: It's not an HDTV, and as such, not nearly worth the money.

Personally, I'd return it. The picture will probably be worse on that tv than on a normal one, and for $500, you could have something much better.

If you choose not to return it, just hook it up like the old tv since there isn't anything special about it except how much it costs.

I'd suggest you and your husband do some research at avsforum.com

8. Yup, pretty much what I thought.
He sees "sales ads" in local flyers and off he goes shopping by himself. And that is how we end up with this stuff. Now to think of a tactful way to tell him this...

4. Here's what you need to do:
Ship the television to me, let me try to hook it up, and then I'll be able to advise your husband on how to do it...someday. :D
