Now that was a good time.
I went with a friend to the Dallas Museum of Art. Found a parking space, by a stroke of luck, one block away. Five bucks.

Got to the museum and found that it's free admission on Thursday evenings. Yee-ha.

So we looked at some AMAZING stuff, although she got griped at for pointing her finger a bit too closely to a Picasso (she wasn't near it, just too close for comfort for the museum guides).

Then we had a drink in the cafe. After that there was a free jazz concert out on the plaza/lawn area (this is in downtown Dallas) and we got the lawn chairs and picnic basket/cooler out of my car and had a picnic dinner while listening to live jazz. Got to talking to three people near us and we all ended up dancing together.

Then we went over to the Nasher Sculpture Center and took a look around. The crowd at the jazz concert was HUGE and I love people watching. The breeze was wonderful, the night was beautiful. It was so nice, we walked some ways before we got tired out and went back to the car, drove back to our suburb, reminiscing all the way about old Dallas institutions, drive-in movie theaters, baby doll pajamas, and Hitchcock films.

What a night.

What did you do?

And browsed DU mostly. I kinda half-assedly attempted to work on an art project but I was too warm and surly to really make any progress.
