Gone to the Bumwhush

I have a calendar of Forgotten English on my desk at work.
The word for today is "bumwhush: ruin, obscurity, annihilation. When anything has made a noise for some time, and it is then quashed, it is said to have gone to the bumwhush"

Has Rush gone to the bumwhush?
Is Rummy on his way to the bumwhush?
