Is not my Pei. . . that was something a friend of mine made up to "honor" my "communist" dog.

However, my actual Shar Pei (Well it's my grandma's. . . but I consider him mine since we've connected you could say) is lying down right next to me. It's been so dreary outside he hasn't been able to run around so he's been bored today. He's such a loyal, loving dog and very alert.

Edit: On a further note. . . my Shar Pei sig usual gets more responses and notices than my actual posts. I think it has over shadowed me here at DU :). Can't say I can argue. . . he is much more adorable.

Oh, and the troll whackjobs. You know, the who perform the whackjobs, if you get my meaning and I bet you do, while peering in through the window at us having all the fun. Kinda like Skakel in the tree, if you remember that revolting tidbit from his trial.

Whackjobs or not, we're all in this together. We've got bigger whackjobs--radical right whackjobs--to fight.

We are diverse....we're not sheeple, and we're not all Borg, like pukes are. Individuality is to be strived for, not homogenous pablum for the masses.

I recall a group and website some time ago called the Fringe Folk. We ARE the Fringe Folk, except we're not so much the fringe, but the silent (unfortunately) majority. We're only as strong as our weakest link, and calling any portion of our army "whackjobs" only gives the RRR a new weapon in their arsenal.

25. Hmmm...sorry Modem Butterfly. I really like you, but I'm not too keen on

this poll. It may be meant as a joke, but I'm worried it will create divisiveness...OK, even worse divisiveness. :) I am trying to find a sense of unity on DU, working through some of the issues I have with religionists. This poll, 1) belongs in GD, and 2) is counterproductive.

I want to learn to get along with as many people as I can. Thinking of DUers with differing interests or opinions as "whackjobs" isn't such a good thing...IMHO.

As always, this opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it...your mileage may vary. Maybe I'm just feeling really sensitive at the moment. :(

it's not that long ago we had people upset because their religious beliefs were being "mocked". I was one of the "mockers" but I learned to keep my mouth shut because I'd rather be here and compromise than not be here at all. I'm sure the poll was supposed to be funny, but...
