I'd do very very well in a Dyslexia Bee.... and an ADD Bee and learning disabilities bees in general.

Also, thanks for all the responses to my "The Spelling Bee. Do we care?" post and proving me in error. Never hurts to be proven wrong. :-)

1. Did I ever tell you my daughter was in the National Spelling Bee? Speller

number 107. 2002. It was a real self esteem booster, she learned the meanings of a lot of new words, and also met some great kids that she still corresponds with. Spelling has become one of her favorite "hobbies"...and if it keeps her out of trouble, bring on the dictionary. These Bees have a place in our lives. My only complaint is that it's not telecast on a major station. :hi:

2. And the winner is... a sixth-grader from Crawford, TX, Georgie Bush!

Georgie's interests include reading (his favorites are "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and "The Pet Goat"), bike riding, mid-20th century German history, and world domination. His favorite food is pretzels. His favorite animal is his milking horse.

Georgie's winning word was "edumacate".
