Just watched the end of this movie. They send the Blob to the arctic (freezing it was the only way to stop it).

Sheriff: "They're taking it to the arctic."
Girl: "We'll be safe." (or something to that effect)
Steve: "As long as the arctic stays cold."

This movie was made in 1958.

I guess we better be afraid. Who knows how many space monsters the government has secretly frozen up there. Another reason to worry about global warming.
