Hey ebay freaks: is this worth anything?
While cleaning out the computer room in my parents house, I came across an unopened, still-in-plastic copy of WordPerfect 5.2 for Windows dated 1992 (my mom paid an incredible $104.99 for it!!)

I was going to ditch it, but maybe somewhere out there I can find some ppl that are hardcore collectors of old software??? I didn't want to waste time creating an ebay account if the software wasn't worth the trouble....thanks in advance

btw, I naturally believe in our kind sticking together, so if any DUers want first crack at it, I guess I can ship it wherever....

1. Two interesting sales on eBay -
I searched "WordPerfect 5.2" on eBay and found these two:

2. Sorry. It doesn't seem to be worth anything.
I just checked Ebay. There are several listed, starting at .99 but there are no bids. I even checked the completed listing and nothing like it has sold in the last several months.

Software really doesn't have any collector value that I know of. Some old games do, but not something like business SW. Sorry.

3. There was a used PC store in Vancouver...
...who had an annual "software by the pound" sale...and you could get WP5.2 for less than a buck. Maybe in a few years that'll be worth something as a curiosity, but right now it's worth a buck or two in the sale bin.

4. Even if its functionality weren't an issue after 13 years
to be honest, I doubt there would be any way to run the program on a system that had any operating system newer than Windows 95 (and *maybe* 98). 2000 and XP would never run it, in my opinion.

Still, that is kinda cool. I'd hold onto it just because. :)

6. It would probably be a good idea to hang on to it then.
