4. It is a shame

The man had a MULTI MILLION dollar contract. So, after 1 year in the nfl, still under contract, he decides he wants to re-negotiate. As far as I'm concerned, after 1 year, you haven't proven SHIT.

If I was Joe Gibbs, I wouldn't renegotiate. Every chance he gets, Gibbs has been saying how dissappointed he was that Taylor was not at the practices with his teammates. Gibbs was right. Taylor should realize that now.

I think it is a sad waste of a gift. The guy's got some mental/psychological problems for sure. I don't disagree with any of the above posts. But I would like to know that he's getting help for whatever the underlying problems are. Part of me wants to say to hell with him. He's a pampered jock who fucked up one too many times. But another part of me's wondering if there's a way to help someone like this. Yes he's got to take the first step and admit to a problem. But there needs to be a better system of mental heathcare in this country. This would reach out not only to the Sean Taylor's but also to those who just might snap one day and take a gun to school or to work.
