The card I got to my friend from everyone is lame
My best friend, who works where I do, got a differnt job and tomarrow is his last day at our workplace. It was decided that I should get him a card from everyone for them to sign. It was difficult to find a card that would not offend management(No, "Congrats on bigger and better things") and be neutral enough for everyone to sign (No, "from your friends with much love"). Now that I bought the card, I'm thinking that it is rather lame and cold. On the front is sea shells and a star fish and it says: "As you leave," Inside it says "Where ever you go,/ Whatever you do/May good luck and happiness/Follow you." I suppose that it is better than the quick cardstock card that we made for one of the leaving summer workers that just said "Good luck", but I still feel bad. I suppose that I'd still have time to find a different card, but O don't know if I could do much better.

1. No worries...
All cards are lame. It's the gesture that counts. He/she won't feel shit on, I'm sure.

3. Yes, the memories the signatures will trigger is the real message.

2. ALL Cards are Either Lame or Potentially Offensive to Someone
Unless you make 'em yourself.

4. I don't think that's so lame.
If I were leaving a job I'd be honored to receive a card like that, signed by all my co-workers. It truly is the thought that counts.

Once, when a particularly unpopular co-worker left, the rest of us popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

5. I think it is a very nice card.
One can spend hours looking at those things and never find the right one. I think you did a good job. ;)

6. I think it's fine....
A little generic, but most cards are when there are constraints and rules of PC in the work place. If there's enough room inside, maybe those that want can jot down something personal or slip him your own humorous or congrats card.

7. Well, I'm glad that you think it is alright
I won't worry about it. I'm sure that he'll be happy just because he got a card.
