Please join me in a pit bull appreciation thread....
He died a little over a year ago at the young age of 6 after a struggle with stomach cancer. He was raised by a cat, best friends with a Maltese... and the sweetest, gentlest beast ever bestowed on the planet... here are some pics in his honor. RIP, Sam, there will never be another like you....

Sam was gorgeous. I am sure you miss him. But he is in a place where there are plenty of branches to bite



and plenty of places to swim.



BB died last September. I'd like to think he and Sam are buds, if thats ok with you.

BB would hang with him, no prob. He wasnt a snob at all. Even if Megabyte and Sam took one of his bones, he would just look a little annoyed and wait till they were done.

Here is BB with Shelby, a Sheperd mix who grew to almost 3 times BB's size but always took her orders from him!

Here's my Nikita right after I brought her home. She also had a flop-ear.



She was Lab, Pit, Shepherd and Wolf, and the most gentle loving dog ever! She got along with the cats in the beginning, and loved and protected the kids near the end. She was with us 13 years before moving on the play with Sam.

He was the best dog I ever saw!

He was so obeidient - his didn't just listen to his "Alpha" human as some people claim ... he listened and behaved for anybody who talked to him.

My husband, not an avid dog lover even thought Sammy was the nicest and most well behaved dog he ever saw. Sammy always tried to please the humans around him.
