Lohan Says She's an 'Easy Target'

LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan wishes paparazzi would keep their distance, especially after police said a photographer intentionally crashed into her car.

"It's a frightening experience. There's a line that needs to be drawn now," the actress-singer told reporters recently, according to AP Radio.

Lohan suffered cuts and bruises in the accident last week in Los Angeles. Police said the photographer intentionally rammed the left rear of Lohan's 2005 Mercedes-Benz.

She broke up with "That '70s Show" actor Wilmer Valderrama, was hospitalized for exhaustion and has lost weight. Her father has had various run-ins with the law.

5. Why is it that only the "rich and famous" types
that seem to be the ones who have to be hospitalized for exhaustion? I've known plenty of people over the years who've had to work 2 and 3 jobs, many hours per week (because Wal-Mart or some other business refused to pay anything close to a living wage), and none of them actually had to pay a visit to the hospital...

8. Because you're always in the public eye for ridicule
No matter how much money you make, how well you finance your fortune, or how popular/good your work is someone will make a wise crack joke about you. Arsenio Hall once said something that is absolutley brilliant once. He said that instant overwhelming success is harder to deal with than overwhelming failure because with failure you had nowhere else to go but up and with success you have no where to go but down.

9. maybe because they can afford it?
I'm guessing exhaustion is probably not part of your standard health care package for people that have even decent health insurance... though, some nice companies may have an employee assistance program.

10. Ever worked on a film set?
I used to crew on some things when I first got out of college. The hours are truly insane. (Regularly working 16 to 18 hours a day, with no set schedule -- sometimes it's days, sometimes it's nights, etc.)

Granted, the stars (or the "talent") aren't working quite that hard or that long (no heavy lifting, lots of down time while sets and lighting are being changed), but in the interim they're being whisked around to press junkets, interviews, behind the scenes footage, etc.

They're very well-compensated (over-compensated, in fact) for what they do, but it can be a very demanding lifestyle.

13. Read between the lines...
Often the publicist is asked to provide an answer that won't create a public scandal. A medical excuse tends to prevent further inquiry, and a doctor-patient relationship is confidential, or at least used to be. This was more commonplace in previous eras, and entirely up to speculation, but...sometimes exhaustion means drunk, or stoned out of one's mind and therefore unable to function, or about to enter rehab, or expecting a baby and feeling morning sick, or just had an abortion and feeling ill.

Exhaustion? Maybe for some people, but I tend to look at it with a bit of a critical eye.

6. it's hard for me to have much sympathy
I'm sure those million dollar film contracts are a little comfort to her... I'm sure there are 20 million or more people in poverty here in the US that would be more than happy to switch places with her. Not to mention millions of middle class folks who'd like the security that comes with one million dollar film contract.

7. Well, I thought it was a stretch to call her an actress,
But now she also sings? Judging by her acting ability, I don't think I'll be buying any of her albumns anytime soon.
