I was watching VH-1, and this really dumb song came on. And the video is worse. Um, Gwen? You're in your 30s. Quit that shit! Duckie

Although, I was a bit disappointed in the number of times she says "shit" in the CD version. On the radio, it's a good song and my daughter likes it but now on the CD, she won't play it.

4. I like her too, and No Doubt Rocks... |
|
But I'm sorry, she just looks awkward when she tries to dance, and she's pretending she's in high school in this video. It's a little weird, and the song doesn't make a lot of sense. Duckie

6. I believe that a "hollaback girl" is a woman who has been approached |
|
early in an evening by a gentleman. They may hit it off, but ultimately, he thinks he can do better and hits the club for the rest of the night. If he is not successful with someone "better" he "hollas back" at the original woman.
I too am a woman in my 30's and really don't know how the hell I know that!

10. Good explanation. Huh. Interesting. |
|
I've become somewhat slang-saavy in recent years (hey, some of the new stuff is really catchy!) and I feel so out of it that I was never aware of the definition of that term.

8. I actually looked that up awhile back. |

It's a cheerleader term. The more important cheerleaders holler out the cheer and the less important ones holler back what they said. So I guess she is a hoidy toidy cheerleader.

9. Thanks, I was trying to figure out what she was saying |

I like the song, but I had no idea what she was saying. "I ain't no (duh duh duh) girl. I ain't no (duh duh duh) girl."
Now I know!
