Went to see "Cinderella Man" today -
then came home to see Russell Crowe doing the 'perp' walk in NYC for bashing someone in the face.

4. Makes a LOT of sense.

Baer Jr. bristles at how the movie portrays his father as a thug who glories in killing two opponents in the ring.

"That's a lie," Baer Jr. tells the Daily News. "My father cried about what happened to (Baer ring victim) Frankie Campbell. He had nightmares. He helped put Frankie's children through college."


Baer visited Frankie Campbell when he was hospitaziled and later performaced boxing matches to benefit his widow (she never blamed Baer) and Baer wouldn't finish off opponets at time because he was afraid of hurting them.

Max Baer by everyone's standards was an OK guy (Braddock was too, but he wasn't an angel either - he once punched out a police captain)

I think he is a great actor but the man is in desperate need of instensive therapy
