Texas Gov Signs Into Law Concealed Carry For The Unborn

FORT WORTH, Texas - Using an evangelical school gymnasium as a backdrop, Gov. Rick Perry put his signature to legislation mandating concealed carry for the unborn. Under this legislation the requirement to bear arms would begin at conception.

"For too long, a blind eye has been turned to the gun rights of our most vulnerable human beings — that's the unarmed unborn in our society," Perry told a crowd of about 1,000 people gathered at the Calvary Christian Academy.....

"The critics are generally those who object to people of faith participating in government or the electoral process," said Perry spokeswoman Kathy Walt. "There are a number of critics who would object to arming the unborn, because they oppose pro-life pro-gun and pro-family issues."

Pastor Larry White, of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Houston, said the gathering there was about life, guns, family and marriage. "We believe the right to bear arms begins at conception," "We're just defending the unborn's right to defend themselves," White said.

But I wouldn't be surprised about anything now. I went to a baby shower a few weeks ago and the proud grandfather to be actually gave an unborn baby a hunting rifle so that he would have it when he was ready. So nothing would surprise me.
