How many of us have to edit every single post we make?

We should form a support group. I have an English degree for Chrissakes, and I still type "no" for "know" in some of my posts. I don't know if it's because I've got a cheap keyboard, I'm a rotten typist, or if I'm just stupid, but I make careless grammatical and spelling mistakes in almost all of my posts.

16. typing faster than you can think

(just being ironic)

I've been typing since grade 5 which makes it about 35 years and as a result I have this ridiculously fast typing speed. Speed is not always accuracy and my brain tends to churn out homonyms, antonyms and pure gibberish.

I watch the words flow by and wonder :wtf:.

Many of the threads I'm on are fast-moving flame wars so there isn't time to ponder so I have to go back and edit later.

I'm a perfectionist, so if I see a post where the spelling isn't perfect, or an apostrophe is in the wrong place, I have to change it.

I also edit when I think my post isn't clear enough, or for stylistic reasons. (for instance if I think of a better word to use in a sentence)

.....for all kinds of reasons..but it's like I've got dyslexic fingers for the most part....and my spelling isn't what it should be either *sigh* :crazy:

I edit a lot. Usually it's to fix something plus add a thought or two I've had since I wrote the post. :shrug:

I don't get too uptight about grammar mistakes here in the Lounge. It is the Lounge afterall.

But if I post in GD, I will scrutinize it more closely because I don't want my meaning to be misinterpreted.
