1. The drug war is a generational thing.
Not an ideological thing. Hopefully it won't be long before we realize the futility and waste of combating drug abuse by forcing abusers into the underground instead of helping them. (And punishing responsible users as well.)

8. Sorry, but wrong.
Prohibition began with the fundys, wanted to outlaw drinking.
(Carrie Nation, Billy Sunday, etc.)

The "war on drugs" began with those same fundys, in fact the "war on pot" was crystalized due to the racist pig Harry Anslinger's work.
