I want to record TV broadcasts onto a DVD...

then be able to pop that DVD right onto my PC and play it there... and maybe even edit it with Adobe Premiere and such.

Any recommendations?

I'm sure I could achieve what I wish to do with a PC and TV tuner... but is there a DVR machine on the market that produces PC-ready DVDs that don't need modification?

in the Sunday paper for $97. Records TV directly to dvd-r disks. I think it was a Target ad...
