While the War of 1812 was at best a stalemate therefore Britain did not achieve its war goals making it a failure. Making my statement a true one. 9. On a serious note I noticed years ago that after reading so many

books written by English historians and some English fiction writers that my spelling had without me noticing it changed to British standard rather than American standard.

12. I didnt get put on Ritalin until I was 20 and had not read a complete book

up to that point, within a few months of being put on Ritalin I was an English Lit major who was taking various Victorian peroid classes.... and I read voraciously, but all 19th century British essays and such... so for the longest time and even now I when I get writing an essay or onto a diatribe, it can get all Victorian. My professors would comment as such on all my papers and they kinda liked it.

Now the Profs who ran the required writing classes were usually thrown into a tizzy over it. I couldn't stop doing it because I never realized I was doing it. Though one Prof did mention it once, she had been born and raised in India and I guess she was taught English using the Oxford spellings and wondered where I had gone to school.

That reminds me of another thing about college. I received a BA in history and a MA. Some of the courses I took were either about the history, religion, politics and sociology of Islam. The strange thing about that was all of the classes I took in the Army, as an undergrad and grad student were taught by Hindu women. Not that I ever had a problem with it but is just seem strange.
