4. Ford Escape Hybrid

It's the most reliable American-made hybrid.
In fact, it's the ONLY American-made hybrid.

11. Or is the Mazda Tribute really a Ford?
They're both built in Ford's Kansas City factory.

Ford has the hybrid and Mazda doesn't.
How Come Mazda Doesn't Sell a Hybrid?

Ford owns 1/3 of Mazda.

Two people I know have it and both swear by it. My dad's had more than 250,000 and my friends had over 125k. Solid engines

9. Do you know why...
cab and limo companies use the big Ford platform?

300,000 miles easy with a fleet Grand Marquis or Town car, and I know a few private owners who get 500,000 and more. They run 50-100,000 miles a year.

Yeah, you're going to replace the alternator and blower motor and fix the power windows once a year if you use it like that, but you're going to fix or replace that stuff on a Toyota when it racks up that kind of mileage, too.

18. 2000 LS1 with 105,000 miles...
with 70,000 of them since I bought it a year ago, is still going strong. Haven't even had to do the brakes yet.

The 2.2L 4 seems to be their best engine.

15. our two Fords:
a 91 Taurus wagon and a 97 Contour both have close to 150K and neither has ever used one drop of oil. They start first time, every time. Of course, we do keep up with maintenance like oil changes, tuneups, etc.
