I'm just trying to get a feel for how most guys here view these places.

I just can't go into those places now. My problem is that I went to one sober and clearly saw the kind of people I was there with. It was kind of scary, the girls were too.

I was married when I went before without children. My wife didn't care if I went so there was no issue there. I went maybe once every 5 months with friends. We would be drunk and say "Hey let't go to the strip club" after 13 or 14 beers it always sounds like a good idea.

popular strip club in Vancouver, BC. I entertained clients there doing some very lucrative real estate deals. I haven't been in a strip club since leaving Van in 1989.

Most of my favorite titty bar memories are when something funny happened; like accidently setting a stripper's hair on fire or seeing Donny Most get embarrased by some drunk yelling at him, "Heeeeey Potsie!"

The time that I saw a former sax student of mine stripping was disturbing.

7. Just not my cup of tea, for a number of reasons

First off, I've never understood the appeal of getting all hot and bothered when you can't even touch the girl, and you won't be taking her home. To pay for a rip-roaring case of blueballs seems the height of stupidity to me.

Second of all, the aesthetics of strip clubs don't appeal to me. Most of the women can't really dance, just bump and grind. Also, most of the women have had some sort of plastic enhancement, and I find silicon to be unappealing.

Third, I just find the atmosphere a complete turn off. Desperate horny men vying for the attention of cold, calculating women, in a scenario where the biggest bucks wins, sorry, but I find the whole thing rather depressing.

I don't condemn the women who work at strip clubs, hey, I hear the money is great. And I don't condemn the men and women who patronize them. It is just not my cup of tea, never has been, never will be.

Actually many men do get satisfaction either via lapdances or illict deals made with the "dancers"... and yes there's not much "dancing" involved at these places... makes me laugh when they insist they're "dancers" not "strippers".

Spend a lot of money and it wasn't really that interesting either. One of the show parts was that she sucked a bill off your face with her you-know-what. Of course I wanted to find out, so I put the bill on my nose and then she would pick it up. Well it happened so extraordinarily fast that I really didn't see anything. She just went down sucked up the money and was gone again. Of course I told everybody that it was great and all, but the bitch simply took the money and left :rofl:

but I used to enjoy going every once in a while. Maybe it just a voyeuristic or curiosity thing or maybe I just had a repressed childhood, but I used to think it was cool to have a conversation with a stranger that you just saw naked. I'm not quite as shy as I used to be, but I used to think it was cool that the strippers had the guts to take thier clothes off in front of complete strangers.

I enjoyed it then, I'd be lying if I said I didn't. I went to some classy clubs in L.A., and some dives too. I had a front row seat in one drinking a cold beer and a ladie was shaking her hoohaw in my face when I noticed some guy staring at me and if looks could kill I wouldn't be typing this now.
Later I got older and the clubs lost their appeal, I stopped drinking got into a steady relationship and as it deepened I just don't have a reason to visit them.
I'll leave it to the young hot blooded turks.

Including a place called "Splash" in NY that had guys stripping in showers above the bar. All I could do was worry that they might slip and fall. It does absolutely nothing for me. I struck up a conversation with a guy there who turned out to be a stripper! He was a nice guy in his clothes.
