Yay I just got hired
Just wanted to toot my own horn. :+

First job--2nd job interview, hired on the spot for part time, retail in a dept. store. Because I have no job experience, I was expecting it to be a little more uphill than it was, so I'm relieved that it wasn't.

Started applying on Monday, hired by Thursday. :)

6. Thanks, LastKnight
Try online applying online w/ department stores..that's where I had the best luck. I just got hired @ Macy's--I also have a friend who used to work at a different Macy's..they usually do group interviews and hire on the spot, so I'd give them a try if you haven't considered them before. Best of luck. :)

4. It's good job experience because you work directly with
customers. The hours kind of suck depending on where you work.

8. Yeah
Evening hours, but I have the time (esp. this summer) and need the experience. I'm glad cause it'll give me something I can put on future resumes later.

i`m going for my interview tomorrow. going from rathole printer to a more upscale rathole printer. 1.50 more an hour and a crappy union but it`s better than the two years i was laid off...
