TV star killed in attempt to rescue hedgehog

Her love for animals cost her the life. The actor Julia Palmer-Stroll, last seen in the ARD series "Marienhof", died in a tragic accident, according to the agency dpa. The 21-year old wanted to pick up a hedgehog from the street, when she was hit by a car.

Palmer Stoll stopped her car at about 10:30 PM on Wednesday, after she had spotted a hedgehog on the opposite lane. She left her car, apparently in an attempt to rescue the animal. When she was about to pick it up, the TV star was hit by a car.


According to the police, the young woman was dragged along with the car for 100 feet. Seriously hurt, she was flown to the Murmau hospital. She died Thursday afternoon.
