Temp Agency Angered Me Today

I was told to go in at 10 AM to take a test for a data entry position that starts on Monday. I got there and then find out that the "client cancelled the order". So I stay there and take the test anyway and pass.

Then, when I get home, I hear the machine from the lady telling me not to come.

Isn't life ironic?

1. That's not as bad

as the experience my man had when he went to a conservative X-tian "charity" organization.

They had him take a personality test as part of the interview process... and told him afterward he was "too compassionate" for the position they had open.

Yup. A "Christian" business refused to employ someone because they were "too compassionate".

Sick, isn't it?

5. I had a really bad experience with Manpower.....

....the receptionist and I were friends and talked politics a lot...but the manager was o'course a puke and they got into an arguement after I left there from turning in a time sheet...she quit workin' there a couple weeks later and after my last day at the place I was temping for ended...they never sent me on another assignment....those places are repuke owned and run....and I think are a huge contributing factor in making it harder to find a job these days too....just my experience and observation! x(

if I showed up for something and they didn't have anything for me to do...I still got 4 hours of pay for showing up as requested.

That was about 12 years ago but it was a nice gesture from the agency...
