3. I've been there a few times .....

I forget the names of the other venues there .... I think one is the Mark Taper Forum .... the third ? ... I have no clue ... (Is there even a third one ???) ...

The blue sky = CA ... the buildings = CA .... And I somewhat recall the sculpture as well ...

The Mark Taper Forum is small and intimate; then there's also the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion...I don't know about any other buildings. It's true, this does look like California. The other pic I took had the City Hall in it, but it looks as though it wouldn't have mattered if I'd used that instead.

9. Here's what's fun about that fountain...

Watching little kids run through it on a hot summer day.

And the buildings that make up the LA Music Center are the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Ahmanson Theater, and the Mark Taper Forum. (I used to work across the street.)

I can never remember the names of all the buildings there...but I do recognize them. I've seen the kids in the water, and it is so much fun watching them. That fountain is nearly irresistible. You had a very cool workplace, IMHO!

(Can't resist a quick Music Center story: One day I was walking up Temple from the parking lot after lunch and passed, as usual, by the Music Center rehearsal entrance. Halfway down the block I realized that the man coming toward me, dressed all in black, was Yul Brynner, who was appearing in a revival of "The King and I." We met just as he turned to go in the door, but before he did, he gave me the most wonderful, friendly, warm smile. I'll never forget it. I floated into the office in a semi-daze. It's amazing what a smile can do for one's spirits. Thanks for listening.)

Wow. Yul Brynner...How VERY cool. I'd have had a hard time working that afternoon...whew...

The play, "Stuff Happens." I'm SO GLAD you're going to see it. It was a lot more involving and better than I'd thought it would be. I felt that the first act was just a tiny bit slow; but the second took off, was more dramatic and a lot more funny...I know that sounds odd, but somehow it was. FABULOUS! I know you'll enjoy it. I went because of Will Pitt...the play was just part of the package. I'm so glad I went. The LA Times had a favorable review right after I saw it.
