Cigarette Smokers That I Hate
Edited on Fri Jun-10-05 08:29 PM by BearClaws
You have all the right in the world to torch up that cig.
I'm all about personal freedoms.
Hell, my dad died from lung cancer when I was young and I still will support your freedom to smoke.
I don't smoke myself, but the #1 bitch I have with cigarette smokers is this.
I live in the mountains where we are reaching extreme fire season.
On my way home, while driving up over the pass, I continually see cigarette smokers flicking their butts and ashes out the window during the middle of summer with the dry summer grasses three feet high near the side of the road.
DUMBASSES.
Just so that your ashtray stays clean, you are willing to burn down people's homes, destroy forests, kill wildlife, risk the lives of fire fighters and possibly have to pay for it all?
When ever I see someone do this, I immediately rush up and write their license plate number, usually followed by the one finger salute.
Sorry for the rant, but this is a huge peeve of mine.
Please just think about it next time.
Thank You!

1. I'm a smoker and I agree with every word you said.
There should be very severe fines for anyone tossing a cig in a fire hazardous place----or any other place for that matter.

I use an ashtray in my car and an Altoids box when I am outside.

Those smokers are just slobs.

2. HUGE fines in WA State - use an iced coffee jar
Ought to be huge fines everywhere. A really good thing to use for someone who smokes in their car is one of the jars that Starbucks' iced coffee comes in. It's glass and has a metal lid, and fits in the cup holder. Nobody ought to throw anything thats on fire out the window! that's just common sense.

3. i get so mad when i see that still lit butt
come flying out of a window. i am not so worried about the fire risk but the littering. i have known people who are anti-litter but still did this. they didn't consider it litter. as far as i am concerned if it is an apple core or a banana peel or the like, it is litter.

i had a sticker from northernsun.com that said "keep your butt in the car, the world is not your ashtray" or something like that.

4. Totally agree.
I'm so sick of this. Butts are everywhere around here. There are recepticals everywhere. So you have to walk three extra feet. Quit being a pussy and fucking walk over there and put your butt away! Oh my god, you should see the Oklahoma State parks. They are just one big ashtray. It pisses me off.
