This test only has one question but it's a very important one.
By giving an honest answer you will discover where you stand morally.
The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you
will have to make a decision.

Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous.

You are in Florida. Miami, to be exact.

There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding.

This is a flood of biblical proportions.

You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper.

You're caught in the middle of this great disaster.

The situation is nearly hopeless.

You're trying to make a career out of shooting photos.

There are houses and people swirling around you.

Some are even disappearing under the water.

Nature is showing all of its destructive fury.

You see a man in the water.

He is fighting for her life, trying not to be taken away with the debris.

You move closer . . . somehow the man looks familiar.

Suddenly you know who it is . . . It's George W!

At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under, forever.

You have two options:

You can save him, or you can take the most dramatic photos of your life.

So, you can save the life of George Bush, or you can shoot a Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world's most powerful men.

Here's the question and please give an honest answer:

Would you select color film or would you rather go with the classic simplicity of black and white?

with the color you could capture all the subtleties in his face and the immense fear he was in. but black and white just looks classy.

i am at a loss for an answer

2. Go with the color. You can do B&W exposures off it, too.

3. I'd go with the color

Black and white can be very arresting but I'd be afraid that with all the debris and movement, there might not be the clarity I'd want.

Hopefully, though, I'd have two cameras loaded with both films.

4. That's one of the oldest moral puzzles in history. Straight out of the

Talmud.

I'd save him. It's the decent, moral thing to do.

I'd save the rebuke for the photo op afterwards when the Asshole in Chief tries to get some ink off the rescue. I'd give the whole press corps a piece of my mind.

I'd ask the press photographers the 'color or black-and-white' question. :-)

6. Color

This reminds me of a similar joke I read:


Three boys are walking along a riverbank. They hear a man calling for help and spy Dubya flailing in the rushing water. Working together they manage to pull him to safety. As a reward Dubya offers to grant each of the boys one request.


"I want a new Sony Playstation with 10 games", said the first boy.

"Consider it done", said Dubya.

"Can I have a new dirt bike and helmet?" asked the second boy.

"By all means", replied the prez.

"I need a motorized wheelchair", stated the third boy.

"But you're not physically disabled", said the perplexed Dubya.

"I will be when my father finds out I helped rescue you"! said the boy.
