Setting up an online store - anyone have any tips?

I'm making my own Soy candles and I would like to put my candles on the web. I know how to make websites but I've never setup an online store. HOW do I go about doing this?

I found a couple e-commerce type websites but they want you to pay $50 for the shopping cart/ssl/etc a month, then the site fees itself. I dont know how well this will workout online so I'm not really ready to take that deep of a plunge every month.

It'll be specializing in all natural soy candles with natural essential oils/fragrances.

You can install from cPanel(administration).
