excellent horror

I was a huge Twin Peaks fan (big David Lynch fan period). That movie didn't quite get there for me, but I find I've liked it better with subsequent viewings.

Fire Walk With Me is a lot darker than the series was. I like that personally. The movie is creepy as hell.

Lost Highway was brilliant I thought, as was Eraserhead. I like the weird shit, though I enjoy all of his work.

I like all kinds. :)

Like 'Blade Runner' for instance, is one of my favourites, and is technically SciFi but it's not like most SciFi. It is so complex and deep philosophically and shot so beautifully that we could analyze it for years! :) Same goes for '2001: A Space Odyssey'

10. the whole cyberpunk genre

is not exactly sci fi. It's almost like techno-noir.

That is a terrific movie. Really puts you in that place.

Don't like Hollywood stuff that much, though I'll make the exception for film noir.

18. I like Scandinavian films

and am intrigued by many French as well...but it's the diversity of ideas, style and technique that I love, as well as watching wonderful actors. Not 'stars', but those who really know their craft.

Lars von Trier is a favourite of mine. Johnny Stecchino is my all time favourite comedy film.

Definitely subtitles. Dubbing is usually awful.
