1. why don't you let us know!
teasing--is it one of those undersized doughnut types? I wouldn't go on the freeway with that.

2. HAHA!
Well, I sort of have to drive on the freeway for a short bit. I thought the max was like 50 or 55 mph?

4. I've driven on one for 3 weeks every day at about 65 MPH
I think the Manufactures say something like 55 but I've never had any problems..

You might want to check the sidewalls though, to make sure that they are not rotten. (Cracks in the rubber)

5. IIRC it's 50mph
there should be a lable on on the spare that tells you that.

10. I don't know how fast you can drive on a 'doughnut' spare tire,
but I know people who have driven for *months* on one (freeway driving included). I think they are pushing their luck.

11. Yeah, I just want to get to the tire shop safely
and get the new one on. I don't like to take risks.

12. Yeah, check the label.
Check the air pressure too - if it was in your trunk for awhile, it may have lost something.

Once I had to use mine and use the highway, and I forgot about it and inadvertantly went faster than recommended w/o incident.

I also recently saw a suit driving ~70 with one on his car (he was in his large car and on the cell phone - definitely pre-occupied).

They'll take a little abuse, but who wants to chance it.

13. People like that make the evening news
and it's usually a pretty sad story, even sadder if they involve someone else in their stupidity.

15. Just wanted you to know that I got back safe and sound from the tire store
:applause:

I found a way to avoid the highway, and didn't go above 45-50 mph.
