Tyson to be missionary
MIKE Tyson plans to leave the United States and seek happiness with missionary work.

(snip)

"I'm basically finished doing this stuff. I'm not going to make a fool out of myself and embarrass myself anymore," said Tyson. "It's difficult to fight when your heart isn't in it.

(snip)

"I'll never be successful in this country. I have to go somewhere abroad," Tyson said. "I don't think I'm going to do too well in this country because I'm stigmatised.

"You have to deal in the real. I may be bizarre sometimes but I'm a natural. I understand my situation. I don't want to lose to myself. I just want to be a man who is fully aware of his situations and who is happy in life."

Tyson said that will come from missionary work, although he gave no clue about his destination once he leaves his homeland,

"I just want to do something that helps someone. I just want to help somebody," he said. "I have to be helping. I have to be contributing to something. If I don't I feel emotionally dead."

3. Well good for him
I wish him the best. But maybe he's stigmatized because he's an ex con (twice) and tried to bite a mans ear off and said something about "eating your children". Bye bye Mike Tyson. Have a nice life.

11. I saw him on tv
making the missionary comment.

He was so open, really such a sad case and that's what he called himself. Just never able tyo fit into society, and he's well smart enough to realize it and see what a mess he's made of things.

He felt he was an embarrassment to his kids and himself.

I wish him well too. Won't be surprised if he meets a tragic end though.

14. It looked more like McBride couldn't go on-huge cut over his left eye
from a Tyson headbutt (two point deduction). McBride was bleeding all over the place but they let the fight go on.

The two of them where grabbing and holding near a corner when McBride caught Tyson with an upper cut that damn near snapped his neck. My buddies and I saw it (not on any highlight I have seen) and when McBride finally pulled away a little Tyson just sat down on the canvas. The round ended (short if you ask me) and Tyson not only wasn't too aware of where he was you could tell that he had had enough.

What followed after that was one of the saddest things I have ever seen. Tyson was used, spent, and thrown away. Very sad.

12. Tyson owes a sh=tload to the IRS....
...then publically announces he's retiring, and thinking of moving to some remote country.

Not a smart move.

15. Oh, I dunno. Billy Sunday was a former fighter who became
a very influential and popular preacher in the 20's and 30's. He used to give large meetings in prize fight arenas. He was up there with Sister Aimee McPherson as a religious celebrity.

16. There's an opening for UN Ambassador
I don't see how Iron Mike at the UN would be any worse for US image abroad than John Bolton.

18. this guy is broken
Too bad. What a waste of a once fine talent. I'm not sure about his plans to do missionary work. I think a felony conviction would make it more difficult to get a visa in many foreign countries. But if he can find a better life elsewhere, I wish him well.
